The aim was to provide a company-wide process, system and organisational structure to drive short and medium term supply chain planning and move from a product push to customer pull supply chain.
The final goal was to provide more visible demand plans meaning the financial forecasts were more stable.
Measurable & concrete results
- 50% reduction in inventory holding within a year
- Improved customer satisfaction from number 5 to number 2 in the market according to a customer survey after 18 months
- Flexibly scaled supply chain over 18 months to support growth of 150% with constant cost levels leading to very strong EBITA performance
- Inclusion in AMR Top 25 supply chains following this project
