Competence Centre for new German Identity Card

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Interior the competence centre supports service provider of the federal administration, science and economy in implementing the new German identity card in existing and new business processes in order to provide a broad range of different e-Government and e-Business applications.

• More than 200 service providers of the federal administration, science and economy have already successfully been supported. Due to the assistance of the competence centre numerous services have already been launched.
• Application tests with more than 2,000 test users have been carried out successfully
• More than 200 public demonstrations of the features of the new identity card
