Objectives of the project

BearingPoint helped the company review its most important entities’ SG&A costs. The first cost reduction project was conducted in France and then rolled-out in Spanish and Italian entities.

Measurable & concrete results

  • Analysis of cost savings with a systematic method based on a top-down and bottom-up approach
  • Numerous client interviews to understand its business, costs and FTEs baseline and organisation
  • Strong involvement of client’s internal resources in the project in order to facilitate the deployment in other entities

What BearingPoint did

We followed a three step approach:

  1. Diagnosis
    • “As-is” analysis of the entities’ costs and organisation
    • Construction of the costs and FTEs baseline and comparison with internal and external benchmarks
  2. Recommendations
    • Identified and estimated cost reduction initiatives
    • Defined a cost reduction plan: recommendations, impacts’ assessment of cost reduction initiatives and macro-planning
  3. Toolkit
    • Development of a methodological toolkit for other Group entities
