Efficiency driven operational and organisational restructuring of a retail banking credit department
Renowned German mortgage bank
BearingPoint increased the efficiency and automation of business processes within the retail and credit department of a leading German mortgage bank. This strengthened the performance of the business and optimised its loan processing.
Objectives of the project
Identify potential efficiency savings for the credit department within a retail bank.
Measurable & concrete results
- Increased efficiency by approximately 20% by reducing the processing time within the retail banking and credit department
- Short-term benefit for the bank through identification of synergies within the organisation of the retail and credit departments
- Long-term changes to the bank’s IT-Architecture, operational and organisational structure. This led to the introduction of an STP-approach.
- A matrix of roles and responsibilities regarding all processes (future organisation), conceptual design for an adapted organisation and IT-environment and project plan for its implementation.
