PhosAgro has reached a major milestone in creating a comprehensive corporate information system based on Oracle E-Business Suite
Moscow, Russia, 2010 - PhosAgro, Russia’s largest producer of phosphorous fertiliser, BearingPoint, an international management and technology consulting firm and Oracle, the world's most complete, open, and integrated business software and hardware systems company, announced the successful launch of an Oracle® E-Business Suite based corporate implementation at Russia’s two largest chemical plants, Ammophos and Cherepovetsky Azot both based in Cherepovets, Vologda Region.
The integrated full-scale Oracle E-Business Suite covers all the key business processes: Supply Chain Management and Procurement, Sales and Order Management, Process Manufacturing, Financial, Management and Tax Accounting, IFRS, Budgeting.
The project team consisted of PhosAgro staff and BearingPoint consultants. A key success factors of the project was the involvement of PhosAgro key specialists and experts in the project.
The project has helped the companies reorganise and standardise the business processes in the holding and develop a comprehensive corporate information system based on Oracle E-Business Suite.
The system went live simultaneously at two enterprises. There are 900 users on the system, corresponding to 14 per cent of staff of the companies involved in the project. Transition processes and system stabilisation work were completed by the end of April 2010.
The project is an important milestone in developing a corporate information system for PhosAgro. Now every employee at the three major subsidiaries has access to the Oracle E-Business Suite and may use it for everyday job tasks. A total of 2,000 users are operating in the system.
The project was unique in several ways: the system was implemented simultaneously at Russia’s two largest chemical plants; the system went live by connecting to a live system instance already running at OAO Apatit; and an ERP system was fully integrated with the MES and logistics systems.
