Solvency II Consultant

BearingPoint is recruiting Solvency II consultants to join our London office as a member of the Solvency II team who provide professional consulting services in the area of Solvency II implementation as well as related Finance and Risk topics.  BearingPoint offers its insurance clients a comprehensive solution portfolio in the area of Solvency II including our regulatory reporting solution ABACUS/Solvency II.

Your tasks within Solvency II related client projects will include the following:

  • Perform gap analyses with regard to compliance with the new regulatory requirements and define measures to reach Solvency II compliance.
  • Offer business support and consultancy in the implementation of Solvency II calculation methods as well as reporting solutions.
  • Support design, testing, implementation and business integration of reporting solutions.
  • Develop processes and policies to manage the reporting environment.
  • Provide/manage training and documentation.
  • Participate in marketing and sales activities.


Required competencies:
You offer strong proficiency in insurance mathematics, risk management and regulatory reporting for insurance companies.

  • University degree in Mathematics/Actuarial Science, Business Administration or Computer Science.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the insurance or consulting industry with emphasis on risk management and/or actuarial science.
  • Basic IT-knowledge of data management, data warehousing and/or database design.
  • Fluency in both German and English (both written and spoken).
  • Motivation for problem-solving (analytical/process thinking) and continuous improvement.
  • Good team player with a high level of personal initiative.
  • Strong client service orientation and attitude.
