In 2023 BearingPoint outperformed the market once again. We began a new economic era with considerable growth driven by accelerating demand, an ever-stronger sense of identity and culture, and the extraordinary contributions of our people.
BearingPoint acquired five leading companies in their respective fields: Smplicity in Salesforce consulting, TXS Securitization in asset-backed securities, Korkia in sustainability, and bytics Group and Cedar Bay in IFS consulting through our joint venture Arcwide.
We continued to grow our global footprint particularly in the US and China. In the US alone this equated to a remarkable 118% growth in a single year, adding new Partner team hires to build further service capabilities and significantly growing the local customer base. In addition, Arcwide was established in the US in early 2023 with substantial growth and also integrated a first acquisition late in the year.
Our focus on innovation opened up countless new opportunities for our clients. This was most evident in AI where we continued to invest heavily, developing over 250 use cases and launching a GenAI hub providing a clear pathway to help clients realize its potential.
We accelerated sustainability both for our clients and within our firm, and were named as a Major Player for ESG Program Management Services by IDC MarketScape. At a time when sustainability has become a critical priority, our 12 core offerings helped clients to address both specific impacts and their corporate transformations.
Our success in 2023 was thanks to our people. We did more than ever to help them grow, recruiting over 1,500 new colleagues, providing 260,000 hours of firmwide training in four global campuses, strengthening our culture and employee value proposition, and championing female leadership across our firm.
Across the world and in every major sector we helped our clients to transform, innovate and grow in 2023. Each of these stories offers a glimpse into what we did and how it is shaping an organization’s future.
