I have focused on public sector clients for over 20 years, working with the German government, EU bodies, and Central and Eastern European governments.
For the past few years, I have passionately supported my German government clients on their digitalization journeys, especially in the areas of public finance, justice, and IT service providers.
Some of my clients are the Federal Ministry of Finance (modernizing the budgetary procedure), the Federal Ministry of Justice (digitalization), and the Bavarian Ministry of Justice (e.g., the introduction of electronic legal transactions).
My approach is always a mixture of management and technology consulting and implementing the right solutions.
I have a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur) and started my career as a consultant at Price Waterhouse. I became a partner at PwC in 2001. I joined IBM (now IBM Consulting) in 2002 with the transfer of PwC Consulting to IBM.
At IBM, I initially focused on German public sector clients, then took over responsibility for European-wide activities for security-related solutions. Next, I became responsible for large deals in the European public sector. Afterward, I became responsible for public sector consulting in Central and Eastern Europe and returned to Germany in 2016, responsible for federal and local government services at IBM Consulting.
Being pragmatic, getting things done, and helping people to help themselves are my three leitmotifs. However, passion and enthusiasm are also needed.
