Emmi has grown rapidly in recent years, and has made numerous clever business acquisitions. Along the way, it inherited a rich medley of IT systems and baked-in business processes, amounting to a “shadow IT”. Having concluded a unified solution was more desirable, Emmi selected the OneERP solution: a group-wide ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) based on harmonized business processes. What it needed next was a partner with the tools, expertise and experience to help design and implement this solution for the long-term.
Within three years, Emmi and BearingPoint were able to master the challenges inherent to such a sizeable undertaking, and successfully implement strategic IT-business alignment measures, in accordance with BearingPoint’s Business Transformation Framework.
Furthermore, utilizing a mix of prototype and agile project methods, a business process management organization was defined and rolled out in stages.
BearingPoint’s profound understanding of processes and systems in all relevant areas has significantly contributed to the purposeful and pragmatic definition of the business requirements and to converting them into specific, implementable solutions.

The project team was honoured for its excellent collaboration and project implementation with the coveted SAP Quality Award in gold in the “Business Transformation” category in 2017, as well as the ASCO award in the “Best Business Transformation” category in 2016.
