Wim Palmers

Wim is the manager of the European public sector operations team of BearingPoint Belgium. He has more than 12 years of extensive experience with public sector clients at European, national, regional and local levels of government. Wim’s expertise deals with strategy definition and evaluation, performance management and operational excellence (including organisation structure (re-)design, business process re- engineering, staff requirement assessments, quality management, communication and change management, etc). Through his professional activities at various large EU Agencies he has acquired a good knowledge of how to support international organisatinos in defining their long-term strategy, (re-)defining how they collaborate with key stakeholders and how to focus their resources on the most important needs.

Wim has been part of BearingPoint since 2013. Before joining the firm, he worked at Deloitte’s EU practice and KPMG Consulting. He holds a Master’s degree in European Public Administration from the College of Europe, a Master’s degree in General Management and a Licentiate degree in Political sciences. He is certified in Prince2 Project management and in ISO 9001 lead auditor. He speaks English, French, Dutch and German fluently.
