Moscow, April 23, 2013 — The international management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint and Uralkali (Company; LSE: URKA) today announced the signing of a contract for the development and maintenance of a new corporate information system using Oracle business applications. The project will enable Uralkali to use cutting edge information processes, improving the efficiency of its business operations.
The contract with BearingPoint is unprecedented for both the chemical industry and the consulting firm itself. The ten-year agreement will see the creation and launch of the new corporate information system over the next two years; after which, BearingPoint will take responsibility for its maintenance over the subsequent eight years. Within the framework of the project, BearingPoint will provide Uralkali with a full range of services and supply all necessary equipment and software.
The project covers almost all areas of Uralkali’s activities, from production, personnel management, sales and transportation, to procurement and supplies, repairs management, financial consolidation, budgeting and reporting, and construction.
