The management and technology consultancy accelerates international collaboration with consulting companies in regulatory reporting

Frankfurt, September 7, 2017 – Management and technology consultancy BearingPoint, a leading provider of Regulatory and Risk Technology (RegTech/RiskTech), continues to expand its growth strategy by working with leading consulting firms. A new program, “Solutions Alliance Partner,” has been created to accelerate collaboration in regulatory reporting. The first partners of this novel cooperation are d-fine GmbH, Deloitte Consulting GmbH, ifb AG, KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft and PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. The program is set up to be rolled-out worldwide.

The new BearingPoint program ramps up the collaborative work in the partner ecosystem with implementation and development partners. The objective of the program is to better situate partners for a more efficient implementation of projects at a higher standard. It will also better align product functionality with customers’ requirements.

Bodo Windmöller, Partner at BearingPoint and responsible for the Abacus product business, comments, “The Solutions Alliance Partner program is an important milestone for our steady professionalization and international growth strategy. The quality of the consulting is also a decisive factor for our clients, alongside the quality and functional scope of our products. Our partners play an important role. They complement our own consulting capabilities, and this program, in cooperation with our partners, helps us respond faster to domestic and foreign customer requirements and offer our clients solutions that are ideally suited to their needs and preferences.”

The Abacus platform is currently being used by approximately 2,500 small, medium and large international banks and insurers in over 20 European countries to meet their reporting obligations in compliance with Basel III, MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR II, Solvency II and further regulations. The platform covers the entire process, from data import via validation and release processes up to the final creation of the quantitative and qualitative reports in XBRL format. Clients can automate a large portion of processes by using the Abacus data model. The software is available as a classic on-site installation and as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution – an option that is chosen by a growing number of customers.
