It was inspiring to collaborate with the TFD team and explore how the strategic use of data can enhance the organization’s activities and decisions, from finding motivated graduates who really want to make a difference to deploying them in the right places where they are needed most, to continuously monitoring the Fellows’ impact at the schools.
The project was supported through BearingPoint’s We Enable Helpers program, which reflects our commitment to social responsibility by offering pro bono consulting services to non-profit organizations and their employees.
In recent years, digitalization has become increasingly important in Germany’s education sector. At BearingPoint, we also support public authorities and institutions in the transition to a more modern and digital age and help them exploit the opportunities of digitalization and successfully implement digitalization projects. As an education manager for the public sector (GPS), Christoph Steens and his team advise non-profit organizations, NGOs, authorities, and public institutions on the topic of education.
Digitalization is fundamentally changing the German education system, from the first steps of the DigitalPakt Schule to the disruptive possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI). While the coronavirus pandemic served as an accelerator for digital infrastructure and distance learning, challenges such as a lack of infrastructure, inadequate didactic concepts, and teacher training remain. At the same time, digitalization, and AI in particular, opens up enormous opportunities: it enables personalized learning, supports teachers with administrative tasks, and transforms educational processes. Creating strategic approaches, modern technologies, and holistic solutions as the basis for future-oriented, inclusive, and sustainable education is one of our areas of responsibility.
