Steffen joined AIA in 2012 as Head of Digital Platforms and is responsible for digital innovation, productivity and customer/distributor experience through technology and platforms. He leads the iPoS and iMO programs, AIA's market-leading sales platforms, which have won several innovation and technology awards. Prior to that, Steffen held executive roles as CIO and COO over a period of nine years at life insurers in Korea, China and Hong Kong. Before moving to Asia in 2003, Steffen was responsible for the acquisition of consulting projects for life insurers in Europe at BearingPoint in Switzerland. After completing his studies in Informatics at the Technical University of Munich in 1994, Steffen launched his career as a software developer/project manager for life insurance system developments and then worked for four years in sales with KPMG Consulting.
As Partner in the area of financial services at BearingPoint, Claudio’s focus is on the insurance industry. BearingPoint’s customers include global insurance and reinsurance corporations as well as locally-based companies. We support our clients’ initiatives to improve their business models, processes and systems in the context of digitalization and regulation. Since graduating from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a degree in Business Administration, Claudio has focused on BearingPoint’s insurance and reinsurance clients in major transformation programs.

It was outlined how Asian insurers are using new technical applications and real-life innovations in the battle for market share to meet the ever-increasing expectations of their customers. Claudio Stadelmann reflected on the Swiss market and examine which aspects are attractive for insurance companies in Switzerland and how new business models and technologies can optimize the value chain.
