Frankfurt, September 17, 2015 – The management and technology consultancy BearingPoint and hub:raum, Deutsche Telekom’s incubator, are teaming up to develop innovative ideas and potentially turning them into new digital business models. The collaboration will focus on business ideas from BearingPoint employees with the goal of identifying and developing innovations, fostering existing solutions and assets and then introducing them quickly to market through the establishment of start-ups. The collaboration also allows for the expansion of the scope of services as well as the application areas of BearingPoint’s solutions.

Two years ago, we launched the initiative ‘BE an Innovator’ and defined the criteria for a sound innovation: it must have market relevance, be possible to sell, and above all, it must match the corporate culture. A dedicated Innovation Committee, which is composed of consultants from all areas, analyzed internal proposals and presented the best ideas to management for further development and implementation support. Partnering with hub:raum is the logical next step to make start-ups out of our ideas.

New business models and digital ecosystems can be dynamically created and will be continually worked on by both BearingPoint and hub:raum. The combination of experience and the existing assets of the two companies make it possible to accompany innovative ideas to establishment and assist them in getting to market.

hub:raum invests in early-stage startups, supports them with co-working space and mentoring and makes them potential business partners within Deutsche Telekom.
