The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) puts sustainability into companies' strategy and offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of the changes. Indeed, the directive upgrades ESG reporting and helps more sustainable companies to be more attractive to financial institutions and investors, and these to improve sustainable performance and mitigate risk.
On July 31st, the first set of CSRD standards has been adopted by European Commission. A certain number of companies have already advanced their journey towards compliance, but many companies still need to prepare to collect and report the relevant information. Yet, companies have to report on the ESG topics where they have significant impact, and these topics vary from a company to another, with some sectorial specificities.
