What characterizes a typical BearingPoint consultant?

Although everyone at BearingPoint have their differences, the characteristics I come to think of are team-players, open-minded, driven/ambitious, high performing and humble.

How would you summarize your time in BearingPoint?

It has been a truly fantastic journey so far. Everything from interesting projects, amazing colleagues, the social activities, as well as how BearingPoint always challenge me and support my personal growth. As I have gained more experience I have also been given more responsibilities, which has been both challenging and rewarding.

What type of work do you do?

I work within Technology, where we advise our clients in areas such as IT transformation, Data & Analytics and Technology innovation. During my years at BearingPoint, I have for example worked with helping one of our clients’ manage its most critical data (master data management). I have also been part of leading the IT side of a large Healthcare transformation program that includes project management, change management and project portfolio management.

What’s your advice on how to succeed in the consultancy business and at BearingPoint?

I think having a true passion for whatever you take on is a great starting point. I’d like to push a bit extra for one of the five key characteristics in the BearingPoint Spirit, namely Trusted. Gaining trust and being a trusted advisor to a client takes time and hard work, and being passionate about what you do will help you achieve that.
