The management consultancy was awarded specifically for its services in the field of IT research and software development

Frankfurt, April 1, 2014 – The management and technology consultancy BearingPoint was honored with the renowned Business-to-Business-Service-Award 2014 from the market research company Lünendonk in the “Innovation” category. A media jury of 14 editors-in-chief and financial editors chose the management consultancy specifically because of its services in the field of IT research and software development. The award was presented on March 31, 2014, during a festive evening gala in Frankfurt, Germany. “In contrast to many other management consultancies, BearingPoint has developed unique software expertise at an early stage. BearingPoint has succeeded in providing the banking sector with standards as well as creating innovations with easy-to-operate cockpits,” stated the jury.

“It is more important than ever to combine business strategies with new technological developments and possibilities and to adapt consultancy approaches to the rapidly-changing customer requirements. With this in mind, we develop solutions that arise from the interplay between management and technological expertise. The fact that BearingPoint has won the award in the “Innovation” category is fantastic and a confirmation that we should continue to push forward with our efforts towards future-oriented ideas,” commented Marcel Nickler, Regional Leader for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at BearingPoint.

Focus on sustainability, digitalization and regulation

BearingPoint has its own expert team for IT research and software development with currently more than 300 employees in Germany alone. One of the most well-known BearingPoint software solutions is a product family for banking supervision and the implementation of regulatory guidelines in reporting (ABACUS), a tool for the analysis of large amounts of data and the forecasting of future events (HyperCube) as well as an emissions calculator for the reduction of CO2 emissions (LogEC). The software solutions are based on customer requirements as well as developments within the framework of concrete projects, and correspond with the consultancy’s focus on the topics of sustainability, digitalization and regulation.

With the Business-to-Business-Service-Award, Lünendonk and the media jury are honoring people and organizations who “have successfully positioned themselves in Germany or from Germany with professional business services in an outstanding manner”.
