- Partnership builds on considerable Unit4 Business World momentum in the Irish and UK markets
Bristol, UK, 12 June, 2015 - Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, and BearingPoint, leading management consulting and technology consultancy, today announced a partnership agreement.
BearingPoint operates via a global consulting network and across the public, financial and commercial services sectors, and will initially focus in the UK and Ireland on central government, health, commercial, insurance, education and local government organizations. The core services proposition will be based around implementing new-generation, agile enterprise resource planning solutions (ERP) from Unit4, using the company’s People Platform to extend and adapt Unit4 solutions to specific customer requirements.
With its flexible architecture and subsequent lower cost of ownership Unit4 Business World (formerly Agresso) is expected to become the ERP of choice for public sector organizations in the UK and Ireland. Combined with BearingPoint’s existing track record and reputation in the market for delivering large-scale technology projects the partnership can bring considerable benefits to prospective customers.
“We are delighted to enter a new partnership with Unit4, one that offers strong potential to develop and grow new business in both our existing account base, and with new clients, both in the UK and globally,” said Angus Ward, Partner, BearingPoint UK
“BearingPoint and Unit4 share a passion for customer success. We understand the key trends and drivers in the global enterprise applications market and the need to provide agile and adaptive business solutions.
“The fast-changing dynamics in particular market segments demand flexibility and responsiveness from both service providers and enabling technologies. Both BearingPoint and Unit4 are thought leaders in designing and delivering innovative, technology-enabled business solutions and together, we can create powerful business synergies that deliver real results to our customers,” he said.
BearingPoint is establishing operational capability for Unit4 applications in the UK and Ireland. This will help it lead as prime contractor and systems integrator on large-scale technology transformation projects, and collaborate with BPO organizations, to deliver enterprise solutions enabled by Unit4 Business World.
“Services organizations are looking for an alternative to legacy enterprise software. They want solutions that are simple to use and save time spent on repetitive and unnecessary tasks,” said Anwen Robinson, SVP Global Partner Ecosystem, Unit4.
“BearingPoint recognises the need for simpler, more agile systems that can be implemented quickly without risk. Through systems designed specifically for services and people centric organizations we offer something new and valuable to the industry specifically now when they need that,” she said.
Unit4 and BearingPoint have already established a good working partnership. They are currently jointly implementing Unit4 Business World at 27 of Ireland's 30 local government authorities.
