My Role

I am a senior analyst in Supply Chain and Operations here at BearingPoint. This involves a variety of tasks including project management, problem solving, simulating and data analytics. I am currently building on my core consulting skills, which include presentation design, project management, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis.

Normal Day

My day can vary depending on whether I’m at the client’s site, in the office, or at home. Regardless of where I’m travelling, I will grab a coffee at the very start of the day, during which I catch up on emails and messages. I then attend my project daily stand-up either in person or remotely, where I update the team on my progress from the previous day and what I intend to do in the coming one. From then onwards, I could be performing a number of tasks which include data analysis or visualisation, team meetings around a particular problem or task, creating a presentation on findings from the analytics or work the team has performed, or presenting these findings.

Outside the Office

I am a keen cyclist, whether it’s going out on weekends or commuting into the office. If I’m not cycling, I could be in and around London enjoying the good food, or I could be out in one of the national parks or abroad, camping and hiking! When I am out and about, I love to photograph what I’ve seen and occasionally paint some of my favourites.

Why BearingPoint

I first heard about BearingPoint when I found out that they had designed the warehouse I was working in, which is a great representation of the type of work we perform. Whether it’s strategy and Target Operating Models or nitty-gritty warehouse layouts and network modelling, BearingPoint can do it all. BearingPoint offered the culture I was looking for; extremely people-oriented, performing high-class pieces of work, and finding enjoyment working with clients on a wide range of projects.

BearingPoint first and foremost puts people first, whether it’s us or the client. An example of this is how closely we work with our stakeholders and how we go beyond the work we do by offering our expertise and improving ways of working. Within the company, there is a great community feel, where you can turn to anyone for help on any issue, especially your development manager, who is also actively contributing to your development. You set both ambitious and achievable goals with your manager on internal and external projects, gaining well-rounded experience where everyone is invested in you.
