Manager currently working on a large cutting edge technology project for a luxury automotive client. My role bridges the gap between key players in the business, manufacturing and technology giving me a good view of the full end to end technical architecture and project lifecycle.
The day usually starts with a quick team meeting to run through status updates from engineering, technology suppliers and the rest of the business. We also outline our priorities for the day which could vary from project planning, to ensuring stakeholders in the business and technical teams are in line with forthcoming milestones, technical design and quality assurance. We also need to ensure the proposed design meets predefined requirements and the implementation is robust with logical end to end functionality.
I graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Computer Information Systems Design and then went straight into a graduate programme with a large corporate organisation. After a few years there I wanted to move to a company that was a more agile and dynamic in size. I wanted to work for a firm that had a footprint in a variety of industries and sectors yet had size in the UK to give me the flexibility and space to grow. BearingPoint definitely ticked these boxes! The close knit project teams play on different aspects of each team members skills and there are plenty of opportunities for you to step out of your comfort zone, to take on new challenges and have a direct line into the client.
