Consulting is a people business, and we need our people to challenge us to think differently because we are convinced that different ideas lead to the unexpected, to better outcomes, and that is key to achieving lasting success for them and for our clients. Diverse teams shape our workforce in skills, experience, backgrounds, and personalities. It is one of our strengths and makes us better.

How we promote Diversity at BearingPoint

At BearingPoint, we engage in initiatives and activities that explore openness and lead to the best outcomes for our people and our clients. We want our people to feel like they belong. Our Code of Business Ethics steers our actions – externally and internally. Here is a glance at some of things we are doing at BearingPoint to promote diversity in our firm:

  • Programs to ensure flexible working arrangements for individual needs such as parenting, parent care, and other personal needs.
  • Affinity initiatives such as Women@BearingPoint, Ability@BearingPoint and Proud@BearingPoint are led by our people and supported by HR. These Affinity Initiatives shed light on our blind spots and invite us to discuss specific unconscious biases.
  • Trainings and events, for example, our Female Leadership program and online and on-site training on our Code of Business Ethics and cultural diversity.
  • Internal and external thought leadership and ally campaigns help our people and externals understand why diversity are essential to BearingPoint, our clients, and society.

We have made diversity a firm-wide priority. Diversity is anchored in our five basic beliefs (Commitment, Teaming, Excellence, Passion, Stewardship) that guide and encourage us to achieve lasting success for our people, our clients and our firm. Country responsibles address specific diversity challenges specifically relevant within their surrounding. In accordance to this, we are signatories of leading diversity initiatives, such as Charta der Vielfalt and the UN Global Compact.
