People working in our organisation see BearingPoint as a place where they feel respected and challenged, supported and cared for, and where they can develop both personally and in their careers. Together with our affinity groups, we want to make BearingPoint a place for everyone.
Our affinity initiatives create spaces to meet and exchange ideas. By doing so, they advocate for the needs and perspectives of those who deserve more attention in society and our firm. Currently, we have 4 affinity initiatives:
With our Diversity, Equality & Inclusion council, an international team of passionate Diversity and Inclusion leads and sponsors, we promote collective actions and communications across the firm.
BearingPoint’s LGBTQ+ Affinity Network
BearingPoint is a welcoming and inclusive place to work for LGBTQ+ people. Be Proud is BearingPoint’s LGBTQ+ affinity network. It is a community open to all staff, that ensures working as an LGBTQ+ person in BearingPoint is a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and that BearingPoint provides a social atmosphere that embraces LGBTQ+ culture.
The Ability Network is a community focused on creating an inclusive and sustainable workspace for BearingPoint employees with additional needs and disabilities. Our aim is to raise awareness across the organisation and to exchange views and experiences that will make our staff think differently about the world of work and how we interact with each other in the workplace.
Our MORE network celebrates Minorities of Religion and Ethnicity.
We recently explored 'Around the World in 7 days' as we celebrated Diversity Week, and shone a spotlight on different cultures, taking the time to learn about each. Each year we look forward to celebrating Diwali festival as we take the opportunity to enjoy traditional music, dress, food, and art. Our other events include Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, Black History Month information sessions and Lunar New Year festivities.
We want to empower all of our people to reach their full potential! Our Women’s Affinity Network, brings together female and male staff with an interest in promoting diversity, equality and inclusion. Working with firm leadership and at grassroots level, the network provides a lens on equality, training and networking opportunities that enable and inspire our female staff to achieve their goals.
As part of our International Women's Day celebrations for 2024, we enjoyed an inspired Q&A with Aimee Connolly makeup artist and founder of Sculpted by Aimee. Aimee spoke about her journey to becoming a CEO of her own company and shared her experience of developing a global brand. It's safe to say our Dublin team thoroughly enjoyed the morning.
