My Role
I am a Business Analyst for the Finance and Risk Team in BearingPoint Ireland. I started as a graduate after completing a Bachelor's degree in International Business with Finance. Within a year of joining the team, I have worked on two large government projects in Dublin. My role within these projects varied and included project management activities, building operational models, and system integration support. During this time, I have also been able to develop my skills as a model builder and project manager through completing multiple certifications.
Normal Day
On a normal day I begin by checking my emails and reviewing priority tasks for the day. I usually have client meetings throughout the day and work on preparing presentations to deliver internally and externally. The project to which you are assigned determines your daily routine as some projects require more client contact hours whilst others are based on modelling and research. Depending on the week I could also be integrating study time for a course or dedicating some hours to CSR activities held within BearingPoint. I usually try and find some time to catch up with my team when I work from the office and grab a coffee together. Every day is different!
Outside of the Office
After work I like to get into creative activities like painting or cooking. When the sun is out you can find me at the park with watercolours or by the beach for a walk. On the weekends I enjoy travelling around the country or abroad and meeting up with friends for dinner. Some weeks also include a drink at the pub or networking night out after work with colleagues.
