CRM “As-Is” Healthcheck

BearingPoint’s “Salesforce Healthcheck for Insurance” service provides a streamlined and rapid approach for analysing our client’s existing Salesforce systems. The service collates critical information on your organisation’s functional and technical setup and current usage against industry best practice together with tangible recommendations for “quick-win” fixes as well as strategic changes to be considered:

  • Technical  (Architecture, Configuration/Customization, Integration)
  • Data (Quality, Compliance, Completeness)
  • Adoption (Metrics and Feedback)
  • Capabilities (used vs. available vs. possible)
  • Readiness (Lightning, FSC, etc.)

Tools leveraged

  • Salesforce adoption & usage metrics reports (out of the box)
  • Salesforce Optimizer App (out of the box)
  • Force.com Security Source Scanner (External, API-based – no footprint on org)
  • Salesforce Org Doctor (Heroku-based external app – no footprint on org)
  • Salesforce Workbench (for custom SOQL and metadata queries, Heroku-based external app – no footprint on org)
  • Salesforce Field Footprint App and Limits Monitor App (AppExchange, will only be installed if required and with prior approval from org owner)

Important Considerations

  • SA and API access to the production org is required (with endpoints to be enabled in case IP restrictions are active)
  • An overview of clients current Salesforce instances and integrations would be helpful to understand the overall architecture
  • All activities conducted will be strictly “read-only”
  • No customer or no business transaction data will leave the platform – only metadata and aggregated technical metrics will be downloaded for the purpose of analysis
  • All activities (queries and data obtained) will be logged and shared with client
  • In case additional apps are required “on-platform” we will always coordinate with the platform owner first

The main output of our Salesforce in Insurance Healthcheck service is a comprehensive report covering all relevant observations and related recommendations across functional, technical and platform governance and enablement related aspects for our client’s current and future Salesforce estate.

Key Outputs

  • Key observations and related recommendations:
    • User and feature adoption
    • Configuration and customization standards
    • Security standards
    • Data quality
    • License usage
    • General platform constraints and risks (e.g. governor limits)
  • Capability usage and maturity assessment against best practice for Salesforce in Insurance
  • Migration readiness for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud for Insurance
