After an international traineeship I was looking for a new challenge, specifically one where I could keep on developing my skills within a corporate environment. I wanted to continue working on different projects, but I thought it was time for a more stable ‘work base’. The consulting industry seemed to be a perfect match. After visiting various consultancy firms, I was most enthusiastic about BearingPoint! A smaller consultancy firm in the Netherlands where there is a lot of room for innovation and ownership, while at the same time, you are part of a bigger international consultancy corporation.
In April 2019 I started as a Management Analyst. Shortly after my onboarding I started working for my first client, an energy supply company. Together with my team, we were responsible for one of the workstreams within a bigger program. Thinking about what the future can bring; a true consultancy assignment. With my background in Business Information Management, I organized different workshops and made sure that organizational changes are implemented in the business, while maintaining a strong alignment with the IT-department.
What I like most about consultancy is that every day is different. You are surrounded with motivated and smart colleagues and your own learning curve is seen as very important. What makes the atmosphere at BearingPoint outstanding to me is the amount of appreciation you get for your work, the open attitude and the willingness to help from all colleagues. When you start working at BearingPoint you’ll go on a one-week training in Berlin to get to know the company better and meet your international colleagues. Furthermore, there are monthly training sessions you can attend so you learn about all different aspects of consultancy. Besides the professional side of it all, there are lots of other activities, drinks and dinners!
