Welcome to BearingPoint’s Sustainability Report for 2023, which details the progress we made in building a more sustainable business – for our people, for society and for our planet – as well as the impact we delivered through our client work.
2023 was a year of growth for our sustainability endeavors. We have set the bar high for the years ahead and created an enduring positive impact by being “Sustainable by Design.”
Reflecting on our progress, I am highly impressed by the dedication and commitment of so many people in our firm. This fills me with pride, and I want to thank everyone who has dedicated their time and energy to the pursuit of sustainability.
Altogether, we are committed to further improving our practices and maintaining our momentum to ensure that we, as a company, seriously engage in creating a positive impact now and in the future. I am thrilled to be part of the progress we are making.
Axelle Paquer
Partner and member of the global Management Committee
In the context of our Strategy 2025, we defined four ambitious sustainability goals to which we committed ourselves. Last year we made strong progress in all of these areas.
We streamlined processes and started introducing Sustainable Ways of Working in all projects beyond €500,000.
We conducted a 360° diversity assessment and aligned our vision and strategy across our management and stakeholders.
We launched a new environmental dashboard, submitted our targets to the SBTi and improved our data management. In April 2024, the SBTi validated and approved our firmwide CO2e targets.
We embarked on validation in 2023, and became part of the B Corp community in 2024.
At BearingPoint, we are measuring our sustainability efforts in more detail than ever before as we progress toward our goals.
