Role Overview

We are looking for a committed and versatile Advanced Software Engineer to join our Operations and Monitoring team, working in a 24/7 rotation model. This hybrid role combines bug support, end-to-end testing and contribution to new feature development using technologies like TypeScript, SAP CAP, Node.js, and SQL.

You’ll be directly involved in monitoring application health, resolving critical bugs, supporting releases, improving code quality, and validating application behavior through structured test cases (manual and automated). You’ll also support development activities, write and maintain services or modules, and collaborate across teams to ensure product stability and reliability.

Primary Functions and Tasks:  

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs across environments (dev, test, prod) in collaboration with developers and product owners.
  • Design, implement and maintain new features using SAP CAP, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL and REST services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure, and efficient code aligned with best practices.
  • Define, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for end-to-end scenarios.
  • Manage and maintain structured test data and test coverage across modules and services.
  • Extend and monitor test automation frameworks to ensure ongoing validation of system functionality.
  • Track, report, and follow up on bugs, regression issues, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps and business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of incidents and smooth feature rollouts.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions and planning.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (design specs, test plans, release notes, etc.).
  • Ensure testing and support documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Provide regular feedback on application health, release readiness, and platform improvements.
  • Actively contribute to release testing and deployment validations.
  • Assist junior colleagues or testers when required (knowledge-sharing, code/test reviews).

We are looking for:  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software development and/or support using Node.js, TypeScript, SQL, REST.
  • Solid understanding of both manual and automated testing practices.
  • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining test cases, and working with testing frameworks (e.g. Webdriver.io, Postman, REST-assured).
  • Experience with bug lifecycle management in operational or production environments.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, and ability to debug issues across full stack.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and using tools like Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Jira, etc.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes.
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (including nights and weekends) as part of a rotation.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) or willingness to learn it quickly.
