The second central component of the GBTT is the Business Transformation Framework (BTF). The BTF’s project methodology is based on the "reversal of the burden of proof." That means that while on the way to a globally harmonized and standardized value chain, plant and business unit representatives in the project must present good reasons why the industry's leading practices should be deviated from in specific application cases. More than 2,000 leading-practice customer processes along the entire value chain have been collected in the BTF and form the basis of every process design workshop in the project. And many of these practices have been created in the context of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
