We are proud to announce that BearingPoint is a finalist in the category of “Smart City Innovator of the Year Award” for the ‘Agile Fractal Grid Smart Cities’ program

London / Nice, May 15, 2017 – Management and technology consultancy BearingPoint is excited to be a finalist for the TM Forum Excellence Awards in the category of “Smart City Innovator of the Year Award” for the Agile Fractal Grid Smart Cities program. The awards recognize the world’s leading companies that are successfully driving innovative breakthroughs with tangible impacts on business, industry and society. The TM Forum Live! 2017 takes place from May 15 to 18 in Nice.

Agile Fractal Grid is a shared infrastructure program for migrating electric power distribution to decentralized control to improve reliability, resiliency, and security of electric power. Through partnering with rural electric cooperatives, the program aims to cover a large part of the US for decentralized power and enable communications services solving rural connectivity challenges. The Agile Fractal Grid’s “platform of platforms” enables a multitude of services and new business models for both consumers and businesses within a multi-sided ecosystem.

A key message of this year’s event is “Digital Business is introducing new business models that are dramatically transforming CSPs and enterprises in unexpected ways. But where are you on your digital journey and what’s your role?” The message aligns seamlessly with BearingPoint’s Digital Ecosystem Management (DEM), which is a B2B2x platform business model. The award-winning business model is a unique combination of DEM strategy consulting, the Infonova R6 platform, technology and operations driving innovation and rejuvenating growth across different industries.

BearingPoint will be at the event, providing guests the opportunity to speak with its DEM and Infonova R6 teams in depth about how DEM can be leveraged by CSPs to support growth both through digital transformation, and more significantly, through digital disruption where DEM enables multi-sided business models within partner ecosystems and network effects that can be used to innovate disruptive new products and services.

BearingPoint and Infonova are long-time supporters of the TM Forum catalyst program, designed to bring dynamic teams together, connect industries and support the development of innovative, commercially viable prototypes of new digital services and business models. This year, BearingPoint and Infonova will be participating in three catalyst projects at TM Forum Live! – “Connected Citizen,” “Smart City on the Edge” and “Digital and Interactive One-Stop Shop.”

With TM Forum’s 250+ industry speakers, the event invites you to learn how to transform in the digital world. BearingPoint’s Andreas Polz and Pauline Maury will provide experience-based thought-leadership during their presentation slots.
