Midwest based - monthly visit to Chicago office

The Business Development Manager will report to the U.S. Partners and be responsible for selling services including but not limited to:

  • Sourcing and Procurement Transformation
  • CIO Advisory
  • Jaggear Implementation (eProcurement)
  • SAP ECC to S/4 Conversions
  • CFO Advisory
  • Sales & Marking Advisory
  • Operations Advisory
  • Data & Analytics Strategy
  • Environmental Sustainability

The preferred candidate is someone who has strong connections with C-level executives in multiple industries.  BearingPoint U.S. has strong success in the midmarket but has also delivered projects with the Fortune 500. 

While the candidate can located anywhere in the Midwest, BearingPoint’s office is in Chicago and the Business Development Manager would be required to visit at least once a month. 

Long term, the right candidate will have the opportunity to grow a larger, national sales team once we gain momentum in the selected regions.

Salary is negotiatable, but will be highly based on performance.  Key targets include:

  • Number of quarterly qualified M1 meetings
  • Number of proposals generated
  • Sales with a minimum contribution margin target


  • Minimum 5 years selling professional services and/or software to companies larger than $1B
  • Strong experience in one of the fields that corresponds to BearingPoint’s offerings
  • Strong task organization skills, attention to detail, and results oriented work habits
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office Suite, internal finance, human resources, marketing, and sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to work with all levels of US colleagues
  • The ability to learn quickly, work independently and meet sales targets
