Develop creative and user-centered approaches to solutions with design thinking

In this two-day interactive (remote) training, we teach you a process model to solve complex problems with Design Thinking. Practical case studies allow you to experience the user-centered methods first-hand.

Design Thinking is a creative approach to problem solving based on user needs and perspectives.

In this training, you will join other participants from different disciplines and industries in a participatory and creative process to develop and implement concrete innovation ideas. You will learn and apply a variety of methods and tools to build a broad range of skills in user research, ideation and prototyping.

The training will enable you to combine design thinking and agile development methods to move ideas into business practice faster. You will learn how to solve complex problems using design sprints.

For this purpose, you will go through the entire Design Thinking process (cf. HPI) within 16 hours using practical examples:

  • Phase I: Understanding | Business Model Canvas, Scoping, Lightning Decision Jam
  • Phase II: Define | Personas, User/Customer Journey
  • Phase III: Finding Ideas | MVP, Lightning Demos, 4step Sketch
  • Phase IV: Develop Prototype | Paper Prototype, Click-Dummy/Mock-Up, Live MVP
  • Phase V: Test Prototype | Interview Techniques

After completing the Design Thinking training, you will have a basic knowledge of key Design Thinking methods and techniques to be able to integrate Design Thinking in your organization and share your knowledge.
