Once a team has been pre-selected, it will be supported by a BearingPoint Consultant to get ready for the jury presentation. Based on his/her experience the consultant will answer your questions and give you some advice on your presentation.

However, we would like to provide you with some recommendations in advance:

Be an Innovator will be carried out in English. Therefore, your written dossier as well as the final presentation should be prepared and presented in English.

Written Dossier:

The content of the presentation should consider the following:

  • Presentation of the team: Name, age, education & background, motivation for the project
  • Project name and description of the main idea of the project:
    • Goal and Value Proposition: What do you want to achieve with your project? How do you generate added value for customers, society or/and the environment? Can you describe your product/service?
    • Target Group, Market: For whom have you created your project, product or service? What are size and characteristics of your target group?
    • Customer relationship and distribution: How do you establish a regular contact with your target group? How do you make sure your product/service reaches your target group (physically)?
    • Organization: What resources do you need for the implementation of your project? What activities and processes need to be set-up to achieve added value from your project?
    • BearingPoint’s role: How could we potentially support you?

The main part of the presentation should be documented on no more than 10 PowerPoint-slides – 5 to 8 slides are ideal.

Please submit your written dossier to innovator@bearingpoint.com until March 25th, 2019.

Final Presentation:

After the pre-selection each team will be appointed with a BearingPoint coach, who will support you with the preparation of your presentation. He or she will provide you with individual tips on how you can present your idea in a promising way and can advise you how to shape the content of your presentation.

The final presentation will take place on May 10th, 2019 in Munich.

What is the jury looking for?

The jury considers your project as a potential investment. Your written presentation should therefore contain all the information necessary for an investor.

It is not only important to present the basic idea of your project, your product or service. The jury also wants to know about your team. They need to understand how you would like to implement your idea and how and for whom you want to create added value – clearly illustrate your USP.

How to distinguish a good from a very good project?

Structure your project presentation in a logical and cohesive way. Can you tell a simple but exciting story about your project?

Although your presentation should contain all the information necessary, be precise and only include key factors – create an appendix for supporting material.

What is a convincing presentation?

Illustrate your presentation with graphics, tables and sketches etc.

Additional research, i.e. about your target group and your future market show your expertise and seriousness about the project.
