The first autonomous store of Carrefour France opened on the 24th of November. Thanks to several technologies, which are similar to those of Amazon Go,  this new type of supermarket will enable shoppers to do their shopping and pay in a few seconds.

Tech for Retail is a brand new event which aims at gathering the key actors of retail in Paris. This event will take place at the Paris Event Center of La Vilette on november 30th and december 1st. Both companies and speakers that will be exhibiting were highly selected based on their ability to provide different point of view on the tranformation of retail. Key companies or speakers from Carrefour, Kering, SMCP, L'Oréal or Google will be there. During 2 days they will focus on topics such as sustainable retail, the last mile delivery, customization & loyalty or the role of influence and data. It might be its first edition, yet Tech for Retail already claims its ambition to be the European equivalent of the very famous NRF in NYC. To be continued…

He had been fighting a rare heart cancer for over 2 years without telling anyone. His death is a real tragedy for the fashion industry. Be it with the luxury or the fashion and retail industries Virgil Abloh did many colaborations that defintely changed the way people perceive their purchase. He indeed introduced streetart into luxury, but also into common object through his work with Ikea. By doing this he brought a new dimension into retail that will last forever.

Digital giant Google is teaming up with designer Stella McCartney, the Textile Exchange program and the NGO WWF to develop the "Global Fibre Impact Explorer (GFIE)" tool, aimed at helping the fashion industry become more eco-friendly in its sourcing. Picard, the famous frozen products retailer is expanding its online service. They are now offering to customer the possibility to be delivered in 15 minutes with the application Deliveroo.
