We’re looking for a Senior Data Architect

We are currently looking for expert Data Architect to join our Data & Analytics team. This position is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in data initiatives, design and build end-to-end solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. We are looking for candidates with an international background and experience in data architectures and in defining and sharing best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related area
  • 3-4 years of experience as Data Architect matured at primary consulting or service companies
  • Experience in architecting/deploying/operating solutions on Cloud environments, hybrid infrastructures or on-premises solutions
  • Experience in designing DWH, Data Lake or Data Virtualization solutions
  • Experience on at least one or more of the following technologies and products: Hadoop (Cloudera), AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Denodo, Dataiku, microservices architectures (containers, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in elaboration process of streaming and batch data
  • Experience in data modelling, ETL and data warehousing experience with Oracle, Informatica, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other leading market solutions
  • Experience in optimization of Big Data platform performance
  • Coding proficiency in SQL and at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle phases and experience in the usage of versioning control system like Git
  • Soft skills and experience in planning and coordination of project team activities maintaining challenging and collaborative environment
  • Effective presentation (technical and non-technical) and storytelling experience adapting to various audiences
  • Ability to manage urgency in an efficient way
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attitude in problem solving, flexible and able to work also in a non-structured environment
  • Willingness to continuously learn and research especially in technology and informatic matters

You will have an advantage if, additionally, you have:

  • Experience on Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning applications
  • Certifications on Cloud or Big Data technologies
  • Knowledge of data governance solutions (Informatica, SAS, IBM, Collibra)
  • Both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Experience in make or buy analysis to support the selection of the most appropriate solution in a data architecture evolution
  • Experience on business development and in the identification of new opportunities
  • Experience in answering to RFIs or RFPs concerning analytics topics or software selection
