Reduce the carbon emissions of your business trips

Approach and calculation

The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) shows that CO2 emissions from business travel is often a large part of a company’s overall emissions. Many companies, though, lack the capability to measure CO2 emissions efficiently and have little information on how to buy carbon offsets to reduce their carbon footprint.

We help your company reduce CO2 emissions in a 3-step approach:

  1. Our support in this area starts with data gathering and cleansing. With our standardized data templates for all modes of transport, we find and validate the data for you.
  2. In the second step, we use LogEC, our carbon emissions calculator. LogEC is linked to our database for fuel consumption, emissions and distance for all modes of transport.
  3. Finally, our powerful dashboard analyzes business travel and identifies carbon-saving opportunities such as switching from air to rail transportation.

As a result, you can have fact-based CO2 reporting for business travel that complies with EN 16258.

Offset to reduce your carbon footprint

According to the Kyoto Protocol, offsetting is a permitted way to reduce your carbon footprint. In addition, the 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP21) underlined the importance of natural storage concepts for CO2 such as afforestation and forest protection projects. For offsetting, we cooperate with established and respected partners like CO2OL for offsetting projects.
