About the project:

Currently, we are looking for a Java Developer for a challenging project in the financial/banking area for a regulatory reporting tool developed by BearingPoint.

The aim of this project is to develop and maintain the platform, the banking processes, and products.




  • Understand, maintain and extend a highly complex Java application. The application is made of several modules such as a GWT based GUI, a complex DB abstraction and numerous business processes described via its custom programming language;
  • Work in Unix for basic operations like application deployment, web server configuration etc;
  • Work in a mixed Romanian-German team where occasional travel to the client site or headquarters is required;
  • Use the following technologies and get support from more experienced colleagues, if necessary: Java SE, Java EE, EJB 3, GWT/GXT, SQL, Oracle, Tomcat, Wildfly, Maven 3.0, Infinispan, Log4j, JasperReports;




  • Graduated in Economics / IT / Engineering or final year student;
  •  English is mandatory, German is a plus;
  • Strong Java Core skills;
  • Strong SQL / Oracle skills;
  • Experience with containers such as Tomcat and Wildfly;
  • Experience with Enterprise architectures, especially based on EJB 3;
  • Knowledge of Maven, GIT and Unix Command Line is an advantage;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, result oriented and team player mindset;
  • Knowledge of business processes and business experience in a large company is a plus;
