Moscow, Russian Federation (April 6, 2012) – Russian pharmaceutical holding STADA CIS and international consulting firm BearingPoint announce the successful integration of Hemofarm (Obninsk) production company’s business processes in the Holding’s corporate SAP-ERP based system. This project is a logical continuation of STADA CIS business integration in a corporate business model with common governance supported by a common information system. The project team was comprised of BearingPoint consultants, and staff of STADA CIS and Hemofarm IT department.
The project has integrated the production, supply chain and sales, warehouse and stock management, quality management, finance, accounting and controlling, master data management, plant maintenance and repairs processes in a common business model. Additionally the STADA CIS processes were harmonized and standardized based on the standards and approaches of the parent company, STADA AG. A balanced approach allowed to benefit from standard processes where possible while preserving custom features where this was essential.
One of the important objectives was to improve production and supply chain planning based on global best practice and enabling the holding’s ambitious production growth plans for 2012. The project identified planning issues as well as their root causes in order to improve these processes while taking into account the industry context. The system now enables accurate production and supply chain planning based on the anticipated changes including regulations. This approach helps to reduce possible losses and improves production and sales results.
The re-engineered production processes required the reorganization of several departments, integrating them in a corporate process. To prepare company staff for the new business processes BearingPoint used its proprietary Change Management methodology including communication, monitoring, training and feedback collection strategy.
“I would specifically highlight the go-live phase where we had virtually no development or source data issues,” – said Evgeny Tyulenev, head of STADA CIS Information Department. “During the support phase our key tasks came down to completing the on-job user training in the new processes.”
“The project has not only been delivered on time and within budget but also generated some savings which were used to enhance the solution with additional developments and extend the support time,” – noted Elena Litvinova, BearingPoint partner. “These savings have been achieved thanks to a good mutual understanding among project participants, their focus on the results, cooperation and constructive search for solutions.”
As a result the project delivered business processes integration and starting from 2012 Hemofarm (Obninsk) is operating within the global business model and corporate system of STADA CIS.
