With more than 500 speakers and 10,000 visitors from 60 countries, EURO FINANCE WEEK is Europe’s largest meeting point for the finance and insurance industry. With around 40 specialized conferences and 100 panel discussions held over a five-day period, the event addresses the issues of current concern to the industry. A variety of receptions and award ceremonies complement the week’s program and offer ideal networking opportunities.

The 16th EURO FINANCE WEEK will take place from November 18-22, 2013 in Frankfurt am Main Messe Frankfurt Congress Center. An annual focus of the Finance Week is the integration and regulation of the European financial and insurance markets. Complementary trade conferences on a plethora of different topics offer in-depth practically-based discussions of the issues thrown up by the politically and regulatory oriented lead conferences.

This year, BearingPoint is again a sponsor of the EURO FINANCE WEEK and will participate as speaker in several specialist conferences:

  • Dr. Dirk Siegel, Partner Financial Services and Leader of Finance, Risk & Compliance will be speaking on November 18, 2013 at the Risk Management Conference, in the panel discussion with the title “What will the new normal look be like after Basel III Implementation?”.
  • Dr. Maciej Piechocki, Partner Financial Services, will be speaking on November 19, 2013 at the Risk Management Conference, in the panel discussion about “Complexity and Unintended Consequences of Regulation – How does this all fit together?” and additionally on the Compliance Conference in the panel discussion titled as “Practice of the European Securities and Markets Authority”.

  • Financial Services Partner Markus Franke will be speaking on November 20, 2013 at the Retail Banking Conference during the roundtable discussion about “Trends in retail banking – the branch bank with a future”.
  • Stefan Lauritzen, Financial Services Partner, will also be speaking on November 20, 2013 at the Banking IT Conference during the panel discussion about the topic “Big Data within the financial services industry – ›Big Hype‹ or ›Big Impact‹?”.
