The impact: Delivering stability and continuous improvement
Canadia established a stable, proactive support model to keep its Business Central environment running smoothly and support evolving business needs. Fast resolution of support tickets, especially business-critical issues, helped reduce disruption and maintain day-to-day operations.
The initiative improved system performance and reliability through storage and configuration optimization. Power BI fixes also increased reporting consistency, giving teams greater confidence in the data used for decision-making.
With structured governance and a focus on continuous improvement, Canadia can efficiently manage updates, enhancements, and inquires while continuously updating the system.
What we did: Trusted guidance for a business-critical ERP platform
Beyond day-to-day support, BearingPoint helped Canadia make informed decisions about how their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment can evolve. By combining deep Business Central expertise with hands-on experience, the team brought a practical understanding on how the company works in real-world settings.
First, a comprehensive onboarding and IT landscape review was performed. This examined the codebase, freeing up storage, reducing security risks, and resolving compatibility issues. BearingPoint then set a governance model with dedicated Customer Success and Solution roles to ensure rapid issue resolution and proactive guidance. Canadia could therefore enhance its Business Central platform further by resolving operational issues, upgrading twice per year, and introducing new capabilities such as improved Power BI reporting and Tasklet integration for warehouse management. The move to the latest Business Central version was completed smoothly and without downtime.
The starting point: Managing growth with stronger technical support
As a flooring distributor to over 500 retailers, Canadia needs one reliable platform to run processes across sourcing, logistics, warehouse management, reporting, and customer support. If the ERP system is stable and well supported, daily operations can flow smoother, issues can be resolved faster, and teams can work with more reliable data.
As Canadia expanded, it needed a more strategic support model to ensure its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment could keep pace with the business. Over time, delayed upgrades and limited system optimisation created technical debt. Storage use increased, some configurations became outdated, and several custom features no longer worked with newer Business Central versions.
To address these challenges, Canadia looked for a trusted partner that could optimize its ERP environment, resolve technical issues quickly, and provide long-term practical support.
